Good price, great hostel, but not the est location...you can walk to Kyoto station in about 15 mins, but its a bit out of the way. Only saw one other guest while i was there (3 nights), so not the most fun, but great clean facilities.

the location is pretty good though not much activity around the hostel but the staff is very good and provides reliable information on places of interest. a good place overall.

In spite of its apparent bad location (not so close to the main temples and sites), there are buses that very easily take you wherever you want to go. The place itself is standard, although facilities are somehow limited.
