Nice place in a not so nice town. Good for early start to Machu Picchu, with very early breakfast. Cleanliness marked down because duvet smelt pretty bad - everything else was very clean. Seemed like a fun place, very friendly and helpful staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at Pirwa Hostel. It was very nice, an excellent value and very quiet except for the rushing stream outside!

The hostel was still a work in progress, so the beds were all brand new and were by far the most comfortable beds I have had in Peru (complete with wool doonas). The staff even gave us breakfast at 4am so we could take the fisrt bus to Macchu Piccu. The only let down was the bathroom, wh
