The room is very, very dirty, you can not imagine. There are blood of somebody, rests of fruit, insects, smell very bad... the worst hostel that I've found. We saw and take a room in another hostel because is completely imposible to stay there. I'm going to review my bank account because I don't want to pay to this "hostel" any euro.

A fun place to stay, we met loads of enjoyable people, both fellow travellers and locals. It's not your usual western style hostel; very relaxed management, such that we didn't meet our host till the day after our arrival! In some ways it is more like a private lodging arrangement, with all the freedom that entails; you can come and go as you please basically. This hostel has a friendly atmosphere and is situated, as it says, "right on Nevsk", which is within close range to everything, and if youre going off the beaten track, the metero is close by. It is located next to a McDonald, and this makes it an easy location to both find and ask direction for if you're lost ("Mcdonald", even poorly english-speaking russians understand that:) The owner is a nice man who helps you with registrating cheap, and knows his St. Petersburg, as is the rest of his staf

This place appeared to be falling down around us and every time we shut our bedroom door plaster fell off the ceiling. The whole place smelled really bad. There was no lock for the door to our room. The kitchen was untidy and dirty. The two showers were often filthy, and didn't work very well. The water didn't stay hot and the showerhead kept falling off one of them. It was often v difficult to find any member of staff on duty. We had informed them of when we were leaving but were still left to

this place is awesome, isaac, the kiwi who runs the joint, is the man, he's been taking me out and showing me around. huge kitchen, unbeatable location right on the main drag in st petersberg, building is a bit old but it just adds to the character, high ceilings and all. i would highly recommend this hostel to anyone coming to st petersberg, and the place is cheap.
