I absolutely loved this hostel! The three bedroom private room was amazing. The bathrooms were very clean as well. The rooms were also quite spacious for a hostel.The location of this hostel was PERFECT. It was right next to everything downtown. The main square, the bridge, the castle, the bar district, shopping district, the best restaurants, etc. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. Bilingual as well. Love this hostel! it is at the heart of the old town, and very easy to everywhere. But it is too noisy in the night. There are many yong people (maybe from Heidelberg university) drinking, singing and speaking loudly until about 3 am. jingxin, from China ~ 22nd Aug 2011

Overall it was not very amazing. BUT, it was a good hostel if you don't mind bare bones living. The bathroom and shower is separate from the living space. There is free wi-fi in the pub area but not in the rooms. The food at the restaurant is VERY good and extremely cheap. For staying at the hostel you get really good deals. Also another little hitch in the system, if you are staying in a 8-bed dorm there is a little 4-bed room attached that does not have there own door to the hallway, it has a William, from USA ~ 14th Jun 2011

This is the only hostel downtown, so i would recommend it to anyone who was going to experience Heidelberg in a convenient location.There weren't any common areas to hang out and there was no common kitchen- a little disappointing because those areas are a great place to make new friends!They did have a good deal on the food in their restaurant though.Staff was very friendly.Only one shower had all the doors on it and there were always puddles of water in the shower room.There's a foosball tab Rachael, from USA ~ 15th Jun 2011

The double private room was large and bright. Everything was clean, bed-sheets, showers etc. The house is rather old so you can hear people walk in the hallway at the upper floor or if somebody talks loudly in the next room, but it was overall very quiet in the house so it was no problem.
