this place has a great relaxed atmosphere and there is always someon to share a beer with at the bonfire at night. the only thing is that its very cold. but they have lots of warm blankets. overall a great value place to stay! chloe, from Australia ~ 18th Sep 2009

Alot of character. You sleep in a large tent with 99 other people. Nightly bonfires. Cheap beer. Lockers in tent. Really cold at night, but they give you as many blankets as you want. Mattress covers seemed to be changed every 2nd night. You are not given any sheets. Cheap food (breakfast/lunch/dinner). Nice hang out area beside mess hall. Free wifi close to mess hall. There are only sockets at the mess hall. Usually there is music around the fire till late so if you need to sleep bring earp Lucas, from Canada ~ 10th Sep 2009

this place was the highlight of our euro trip...i would advise any body who wants to meet great funloving people in a great environment to stay there...we ended up extending our stay in Munich because this place was so good.Therre is a massive outdoor area wher everyone gathers around beering, everyone congragates around the campfire. The Tent is the first hostel where I've ever stayed, and I hope that all the other hostels are as good as this one. The Tent is a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it to everyone. It's very clean, the staff is very helpful, and everyone is very friendly. Plus, it's only a short tram ride from the center of the city, and very easy to find. I think everyone should stay there, it feels like your in a commune or something. Everything runs smoothly and the people just want you to have a good time in Munich, yes the hostel is like 20 minutes by tram- but its very easy to use and that line also runs at night. This was one of the coolest hostels Ive ever stayed at. Met so many cool people and the atmosphere was amazing. Its definitely an experience sleeping in the same room with that many people but it was so fun. Am planning on staying here whenever in Munich. And I will recommend it to all friends.
