really good location and great beds. worth the extra dollars to stay in town as the subway/taxi fares add up quickly. friendly helpful staff, i can recconmend. also free internet is great as internet cafes are few and far between and $2 for 10 mins hugh, from Australia ~ 12th Nov 2009

The dirtiest place I have ever been. No hot water, which is a funny thing in winter. I only stayed for 20 minutes and I wanted to leave, but the asian staff only returned me half of the money. I went here because of the good reviews, but I don´t where they came from. Trust me: this is not the place to stay in New York.

Thank you for your review. We do have hot water - it is unfortunate that you did not know how to turn on the hot water tap. We see that charging for one nights' accommodation for a cancellation without 24-hours notice is reasonable. We provide a good service, sorry you were unhappy with your brief stay.

very good place to stay in town, very friendly staff a bit expensive to compare with others less central but it worth if you wont to be there. only think we where missing a common space to have breakfast and relax a bit. have entrance with all in it, internet, kitchen and sofa but too small. anyway i reccomend, have fun!!!! federico, from Italy ~ 15th Nov 2009

Excellent location!! and the owner was very nice. It is a quite, clean house and they have free internet, you don't need to bring your laptop. 5 mins from Time square, close to all service and 2 mins to port authority. Fei, from China ~ 2nd Nov 2009

I will like to give this rating because of the politeness and friendliness of the staff. When I rang the bell to come in, the staff actually helped with my luggage. Tea and coffee was free and no limit to how much you can have. The staff(William) had exceptional customer service skills. The fact that it was on the third floor and the stairs were a bit of a hassle after a big day or night as the case may be but it was clean safe and in a great location... Would definetly stay here again... Jason, from Australia ~ 15th Nov 2009

In the first place, Times Square Comfort Hostel in NYC is well located, which saves tourists a considerable amount of time and money. The staff's helpfulness is highly impressive. I myself like the living room very much, where I have free and easy access to the internet and can enjoy nice tea and coffee free of charge.
