Hi 5 Party'ish Hostel in Budapeste, Hungria

Although, this is a hostel where you can party, it's also a clean home away from home where you can get some sleep. The most common remark we get from our guests is the warm, family atmosphere we have here at Hi 5 Hostel, which is no surprise - our mission from the beginning has been to create a communal haven of conviviality and sociability. A place for those who love to be around people, to hang out and discuss some of life's mysterious and fun little quirks over a cold beer, and yes, to kick it up in one of Budapest's famous ruin bars and make memories we will probably never want to tell our grandchildren about!
We are all here because we love working in an environment where we get to meet new people every day, and most of all because we love Budapest. Not just for its history and 'high culture', but mainly for its dynamic underground culture and booming nightlife. Nothing makes us happier than when we hear our guests screaming over the phone to their friends in a crowded bar that they've just found a slice of heaven on earth, so we make it our mission to show you all the best spots in the city!

All of this to say that while most people do consider us a party hostel, we do what we can to make sure we check all the boxes, because man can only live so long on beer alone. If you've been travelling for a while, at some point you'll want a quiet night in to detox and relax, cook a healthy meal, watch a movie and sleep off the hangover. And no matter how long you've been travelling, you'll always miss the comfort and amenities of your own home. All of this we strive to offer, so that you can have the best stay possible with us. Although we do play drinking games every night and take everyone out to the coolest bars and parties around town, we also ask guests who decide not to go out with everyone keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM.

Also, Hi 5 is not for children or travelers over the age of 40.

Our receptionists are your hosts and we're here to make sure you enjoy all of what Budapest has to offer. Pub crawls and activities are organized daily. We offer a full kitchen, dinning area and a BBQ grill outside. Our lounge has a big screen smart tv, XBOX 360, and Nintendo Wii for those times when you just want to hang out and chill. Our game room has free full size billiards table and table soccer. Wifi and towels are free to use. If you're feeling more adventurous we sell tickets for booze cruises up and down the Danube, caving tours, the gun firing range and even paint ball.

1) Our friendly and adorable hostel dog, Avery the Beagle, has become one of the main attractions of Budapest for our hostellers, and we love him dearly! He does, however, make Hi 5 unsuitable for anyone with allergies, doggie-phobia or fleas. 2) Although we don't consider Hi 5 to be a party hostel as such, it is a social hostel that sees a lot of action and craziness, and most likely wouldn't be suitable for travelers that are too young, elderly, antisocial, or cranky.
