Welcome to Des Moines Iowa - Peaceful Haven, located in an upscale neighborhood on a beautiful tree-lined street in South Des Moines. Central to Everything! 5 minutes to Des Moines International and 10 minutes to downtown.
We have 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, of which 2 are in a private wing and available for guests, the third twin room faces the front of the house. Both rooms are very quiet, have views of the backyard and have dedicated bathrooms.
The Gold Room: features a queen size canopy bed, 2 bedside tables with alarm clock, wall mounted TV/DVD with cable, desk & chair, vanity table, closet and dresser drawer space. This room has an en-suite bathroom with oversized shower.
The Lodge Room: features a queen size canopy bed, electric fireplace, 2 side tables, alarm clock, plasma TV, rocking chair, closet and dresser drawer space and radio/dvd/stereo player. This room does not have an en-suite bathroom but has a dedicated 3/4 bath just steps down the hall.
Our common areas include a Family Room with wood burning fireplace, plasma cable TV & Karaoke machine and a formal Living & dining Room whcih is great for cocktails and card/box games in the evening.
Dine in Kitchen is fully equipped, continental breakfast with hot tea/coffee, juice & light breakfast every morning. Other meals can be arranged
Our workout room is equipped with Total Gym, Octane XR6 Elliptical, ab glide, free weights TV/DVD player and many workout DVD's including P90X
We also have a massage Room (Our neighbor is a licenced massage therapist and is often available for therapeutic massage sessions in our fully equipped massage room (approx. $60 per hour).
Outdoors we have a relaxing hot-tub. Patio with dining table and fire pit with lounge furniture. Yard games include croquet, bean bag toss, football target game & boccie ball to name a few.
Our neighborhood has several great walking/biking trails and a free tennis court. We have loaner bikes and tennis gear.
Transportation to/from airport as needed $5 each way. Washer/Dryer available for extended stays. Many items available (iron board, blow dryer, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.). All special requests gladly considered :)
