Balmers Herberge is the oldest private hostel in Switzerland, with over 60 years of business experience. It’s a real home-away-from-home for travellers from all around the world!
Over the past six decades we have provided excellent service and accommodation for both individuals and groups. We’re one of Europe's Famous Hostels, due to our exceptionally clean rooms, low prices and variety of facilities.
Our Tent Village has a seven-person hot tub and a small swimming pool. You can spend all day in the mountains and then watch the sun go down over the alps while relaxing in the spa.

Great atmosphere! Everyone was looking to have a good time. Nice rooms, bathrooms were average for a budget hostel. The bar downstairs was a great time. Paige, from USA ~ 20th May 2013

Overall this is a good hostel.. It was clean, staff was helpful. Location is ok, it is not right away from the rail station but the walk is 10 to 15 minutes to either station. You won't feel fulfilled with breakfast, but is a good start. Facilities seemed sufficient, although occupation was low. It was noisy, you can clearly hear the conversation from people outside the room but I was tired enough to not get bother by this. Daniel, from Mexico ~ 7th Nov 2012
