The Birches Backpackers is situated in the forest-like northern suburbs of Johannesburg.
The backpackers is within easy access to bus routes, taxis and the underground train. There are restaurants, shops, cinemas, the theatre and opera, golf and mini-golf, wildlife and nature reserves, museums, airports, parks and business areas within close proximity.
We offer comfortable rooms in a tranquil setting. Wi-Fi available. There are self-help tea and coffee-making facilities fridge and microwave. A braai/barbecue area is next the pool.
Enjoy the beautiful swimming pool on those hot summer days. This is truly a friendly backpacker haven for the young and the young at heart and spirit. The garden is a beautiful retreat for some much-needed relaxation.

Check In: 2.00 pm until 9.00 pm
Check Out: until 9.00 am

Taxes are included.
Breakfast is not included.
If special dietary requirements are needed, please contact the Lodge to see if we are able to cater for those.

One of the best hostels I\'ve stayed in my life, it s very clean and safe. The owner was very helpful, too. But bear in mind that the location is very far from main touristic atractions and nightlife. Not that close from Gautrain station, too. During the day, there are several minibuses at the main avenue but at night, you \'ll depend on cabs for going everywhere. But in overall it\'s a very good hostel.
