Welcome to the world natural heritage island Yakushima.
The hostel is located beside Miyanoura port, the entrance and the center of the island. Just 8 min walk from the port and easy access to any major spot, especially to Shiratani Unsuikyo, the famous moss forest.
The hostel is clean, cozy and comfortable with nice seaside terrace. A one storied compact hostel, within 10 steps for all facility. The manager, familiar with Yakushima as well as travelling Japan, would be glad to help you in English.

*The hostel has not full-equiped kitchen but microwave, toaster, hotwater and fridge are available. **Almost all boats arrive at Miyanoura port but the last jetfoil reachs Anbo port, 20 km far from Miyanoura. A connecting bus to Miyanoura is available but you should make sure your schedule. ***Public bus services are inconvenient in this island so that you should take an international drivers license.

I loved this hostel! You receive a lot of help in all your questions about the island and how to get to places, best options, all in english! it very clean and spacious, it has a beautiful place outside looking over the ocean, you can cook barbecues, and it is perfectly located for all buses and many restaurants and supermarkets around. 100% recommended!
