Acerca de Brewha Costa Rica

Address: 200 Metres East of El Salto Waterfall, Cartago, Orosi Valley, Costa Rica
Brewha Costa Rica is founded by three eager beavers (two Oregonians and one brave Canadian) who love nothing more than to travel the world and drink beer, and one day magically discovered that they could combine these two passions into one. With over ten years of combined travel experience through North America, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania (Africa, we're coming for you...), they have had some of the best and worst experiences with lodging and have used that experience and knowledge to create an oasis for all travelers alike. Our house offers a shared dorm for the social traveller as well as private ensuite rooms, both clean and affordable.

Our prices include a delicious hot breakfast while you enjoy free locally grown organic coffee. We offer hot showers, free secure parking, free wifi, laundry services, board games/wii, book exchange, a guest kitchen and free international calls to the US and Canada (and more).

Spend your afternoon lounging in one of our hammocks, taking in the exquisite view of the Orosi Valley, watching for exotic birds on one of our 3 terraces while enjoying the valley's year round Spring like temperatures. If you feel like having an adventure, we also organize tours to nearby sites including coffee plantations, Irazu Volcano, and Tapanti National Park. We also organize fun activities such as Ziplining, Canyoning, Fishing, White Water Rafting, Mountain biking, trips to remote hot springs, and a hike from our very own property to the nearby 300 ft waterfall and Costa Rica's oldest church ruins!

We offer tours beginning in our own backyard- a guided adventure hike from the grounds to the base of a 300 ft waterfall and to the ruins of a 400 year old church (Costa Rica’s oldest!). At night, have a pint or two of our home brewed beer and catch a free brewing demonstration. Take in some stargazing, or join us in our home theatre where we have nightly screenings of movies you want to see, or hang out with friends in our game room where we have plenty of board games, Nintendo Wii tournaments and other entertainment.

Finish your day with a family style dinner with a rotating world menu.

Parts of our driveway are very steep, so we recommend that our guests try to arrive before the sun goes down for the safest descent.

Brewha is a great hostel with a wonderful view on the valley, the ruins of Ujarras and a waterfall. The owners are very friendly and helpful and they organise a tour waterfall and ruins. They brew their own beer which is certainly worth trying. There is a nice, relaxed atmosphere and in the evening you can watch a movie. The only thing that's a little annoying is that you'll have to take the car/bus for everything (even to buy food) because it's a bit far from everything. Check out Brewha!! What a great place. The view is awesome and everyone running the hostel is really nice. This is my favorite hostel in Costa Rica! Brian, from USA ~ 12th Feb 2013
