La Kongo is a newly opened guest house, with facilities to match any international budget style hotel. Situated in Dotonbori, the busiest downtown area in Osaka, we are ideal for you to explore the tourist spots, shopping arcades and night life of Osaka. Since the famous downtown areas are within walking distance, there is no need to worry about catching the last train or forking out for taxis.
We have 8 guest rooms, all clean and cozy, designed to meet your needs, no matter if you are alone, or with your family. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in our restaurant, Krishna's Tandoor. We offer local and continental food. Cafe service is also available. We are very close to Dotonbori (one of the most famous areas of Osaka), Shinsaibashi(a famous shopping district), and Den Den Town (electronics retail). These areas are all just a few minutes� walk away.

Our host Vishnu treated us like family. He always wore a smile when we walked in the door, he made us tea, carried our bags, offered his computer, he even worried about us when we were late. It is a small guest house (8 rooms) rather than a traditional hostel, which makes it intimate. The location is very close to subway and busy Dotonbori nightlife district, yet the street it's on is quiet. The decor is very tasteful and modern. We were on an overnight bus from Tokyo to Osaka & arrived at La Kongo early at 9am. Despite the check-in time of 2pm, the friendly staff allowed us to check-into our twin room, which we really appreciated. Due to some unexpected circumstance, we were upgraded to a larger room at no additional cost. Comfy, clean & slick. The staff was very accommodating, helpful & kind. Foo, from Malaysia ~ 5th Nov 2012
