Hostel Revolution in Quito, Ecuador

Welcome! �Bienvenidos� to Hostel Revolution - a friendly, small, cosy Backpacker hostel in the historical part of Quito. Created by Backpackers for Backpackers, who would prefer to stay in the Old Centre of Quito.

Hotel Revolution is in a colonial type house with wooden floors and decorative plaster ceilings. We have a rooftop terrace with great views, ample clean & modern bathrooms and common area/bar.

HR is owner operated by Matt and Maria, an Australian / Ecuadorian couple who have a small dog, Shakira. HR is not a rowdy party hostel but a small capacity (24 people), chilled out hostel for people of all ages. We provide a comfortable base to visit all the historical attractions of the beautiful centro colonial, which are within comfortable walking distance. Being on the northern edge of the historical centre in the bottleneck of Quito we have access to all the main bus lines. For example if you want to check out La Mariscal area it is only 10 minutes by cab or bus, although we think el Centro is much better La Mariscal has some cool bars and international restaurants.

We have a higher ratio of bathrooms to guests than most other hostels due to our smaller overall capacity. We have a comfortable TV lounge with 100s of DVDs, Rooftop terrace with great view, fully equipped kitchen, maps and information, free internet and Wi-Fi throughout the house, a bar/common room to have a few beers and a non-smoking indoor environment. Old Eugenio Espejo Hospital � recently restored and now an events center � 5 minute walk
Central Market � try local dishes and seafood, cheap! 10 minute walk
La Mariscal- see the gringos, travel agencies and international restaurants - 20 minute walk

One advantage is we are located in the narrow part of Quito and all the main transport lines come past a block or two away including the Ecovia, Trolley and Metro buses! (Trolley can be taken to get to the airport and main bus terminals).

*HOSTEL CHECK-IN IS NORMALLY ONLY 8AM to 11.30PM (there is flexibility with late check-ins but will need to be confirmed with us before you book so we confirm someone will wait up for you as we do not have 24hrs reception!).
*There is some noise from passing traffic
*Luggage store 25c a day
*We are officially within the historical center of Quito which is quiet at night.(with the exception of La Ronda which is a best kept secret!). If you want to stay amongst the discos & where the travel agents are consider staying in Gringolandia/La Mariscal (which is 10 mins bus/cab)
* We are not the type hostel with nightly theme parties etc!
*valid passport required by all guests

IMPORTANT -As we are a small hostel we do not offer 24 hr check-in or reception. Check-in is ONLY available from 8.30am to 11pm (depending on bed availability). Please specify your approximate arrival time when you make a booking with Hostelworld.
