Situated in a nineteenth century villa in historic Santa Teresa, Villa Leonor is a rural paradise in the heart of Rio de Janeiro!
With views out across the city, flanked by mango, banana and bamboo trees, you're still just a short walk from the wild nightlife of Lapa, the bohemian bars of Santa Teresa and the bus-van-metro links to the beaches in the Zona Sul or Botafogo for Sugarloaf. Santa Teresa is also at the foot of Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer Statue) and close to the intercity bus station and the airports.
We have double, triple and quadruple private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a mixed six-bed dormitory with two bathrooms (one ensuite, one shared). There is a dedicated kitchen and a large terrace bar with spectacular views. Breakfast, bedding and wifi are all included.
Cancellation policy: 48hrs
Accommodation is in private rooms for 2, 3 or 4 people, all with their own ensuite bathrooms. Two of the rooms are studio apartments with their own kitchens. The rest enjoy use of a fully-equipped communal kitchen, besides the barbecue facilities in the bar area.
Breakfast is served in a beautiful outdoor lounge where you can sunbathe, spot monkeys raiding the trees for mangoes or relax over a caipirinha or two in the evening.
We host regular barbecues and parties there, wheeling out an 800W sound system to give those Brazilian rhythms full play.
We offer FREE wireless internet throughout the Villa.

We stayed 3 nights in the Villa Leonor and had a great time. It is located on the hill and the view from the nice wooden terasse is amazing. You can enjoy breakfast or evening beer there. The stuff was just great! We only needed to tell what we wanna do and they provided all infos about buses, security advice and tips for the trip. We were sorry to leave so soon! Nice hostel. Beaultiful place, fantastic view of the city. It's an old house on an old district and both have (many) problems due the old age, but it's a real and complete Rio experience. That's a shame the tram isn't working. The staff is very very nice. But beware, there's a 5% tax if you pay with a credit card. Adriana, from Brazil ~ 8th Nov 2012
