Jane's Tibetan Guesthouse is a great place to start your Tiger Leaping Gorge Experience!
The friendly staff welcomes you in English and Chinese. We hane very clean dorms , doubles with or without bathroom, twins and single rooms. Throughout the day you can enjoy Chinese and western dishes from a waste menu.
There is free internet and laundry facilities. When starting the hike, you can leave your luggage behind (5 Yuan, if you stay it is for free). We also provide you with all information necessary for the Gorge including a free map. We can arrange horses to carry your luggage or a minivan to pick you up at any point in the Gorge. Bus tickets to Lijiang or Shangri-La can be purchased for you as well. Ask for Liu Ti Ming (or 'lauban') if you want a lesson in Chinese language!

as a restaurant, the food is among the best i have tried in china. Really excelent food and very cheap. It should be a must-have stop before or after trecking the Tiger leaping gorge. But the hostel itself is bad. The owner didnt reconize our hostels.com reservation and gave us different rooms than the ones we booked. We complained and he wanted to kick us out of the place. There was no hot water in the shower Lucia, from Spain ~ 8th Oct 2012
