Welcome to G'Day Backpackers Hostel Sydney Australia, the Global Village in the heart of Sydney!
Our beautifully restored Victorian style terrace is located in the hip inner city suburb of Woolloomooloo famous for its bars, clubs, pubs and sheik eateries. G-DAY is only a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of the city and to Sydney's main tourist attractions the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens, Bondi Beach, Art Galleries and more.
Woolloomooloo (if you can say it) is the place to be! Nestled between the buzzing district of Kings Cross, the yuppie suburb of Potts Point and the gorgeous surrounds of Sydney Harbour, we guarantee an enjoyable stay.
G`DAY ROOMS
We have all the rooms that any backpacker could ask for from 2-8 bed dorms (all female and mixed) or single/twin rooms.
***Rooms cleaned daily***
Dorm Rooms: have 3 or 4 bunk beds (6-8 people) with shared bathroom.
***Long-term stays*** we offer extra special rates for weekly stays. If you are working in Sydney this is a great opportunity to take advantage of these discounted prices while enjoying inner city life.
Ladies - you have the choice of all female dorms or mixed. Whatever your needs G'Day staff will assist you to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay!
Relax in G'Days leafy courtyard for a free breakfast or an afternoon drink under the fantastic Sydney sunshine. This cozy outdoor spot gives you the chance to meet other travelers and make new friends.

It is a very mediocre hostel. Although the staff is very helpful, i would not recommend it. There are long lines to use the bathrooms, and the kitchen is just okay. Also, 3 male prostitutes work right outside the hostel so it is not very safe to come home at night alone. Pedro, from Chile ~ 8th Jan 2013

We booked their free shuttle bus from the airport which got us to the hostel at 12:15. Reception was closed from 12pm to 4pm. When we booked the shuttle we told them our flight times and they did not warn us we would not be able to check in. Our room smelt of stale sweat. My mattress was warn in the middle my bum touched the wooden slats. Everyday the shower basin was full of pubic hairs and toe nails even after it was cleaned. Cannabis was smoked in the corridors, very loud guests. It was auful katie, from England ~ 22nd Nov 2012
