Feeling hungry? The Fort is situated above Kennedy's Bar and Restaurant, a popular, independently owned venue.

Discounts are offered for the Fort residents and food is served from 10am till 9pm daily.

4 double/twin en-suite rooms
1 x 6 Bed Bunk/dorm room with en-suite.
1 x 8 Bed Bunk/dorm room with bathroom and fully fitted kitchen.
1 x 6 Bed Bunk/dorm room with shared bathroom and fully fitted kitchen.
1 x Double room with shared bathroom and fully fitted kitchen.
1 x 6 Bed Bunk/dorm room with own large living area, fully fitted kitchen, shower room and toilet.
From May there will be an extra 3 x 8 bedded dorms, complete with wet-rooms, a common room, kitchen, TV area, lockers and computer points.
Rooms can be rented out individually or as part of a group booking.

The best hostel ever!!!! We stayed at Durham castle and we both would rather come back to the fort and stay if there was a choice! The place was so clean, the staff were so very friendly and a great location. Thank you fort for making our stay at York!!!! Helena, from Australia ~ 12th Jan 2013
