nice hostel,its close to everything. but the shower in the double room didnt get hot! i stayed here a few months ago so i dont know if it has been fixed yet.

The Avalon House was very organized, fun, and clean. It has a great location, pretty much in the middle of the downtown area and next to many pubs, the shopping area and restaurants. The rooms were clean and we weren't bothered by much noise. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I would certainly stay here again if I ever come back to Dublin.

Overall, the hostel is an ideal place for short stay due to its location in the city centre. The morning staff was accommodating, unfortunately the evening staff was not. Smile is a good impression for guests and most of the time the staff were serious...thinking of business all the time! The bed was neat and the showeroom and toilet were clean and tidy.
This was one of my first hostel experiences, and it was the best it could be! The room was clean and beds comfortable. The environment was fun, inviting, and very informative. Breakfast was simple but good. The free internet was handy, and the location was great-- we could walk to almost anywhere we wanted to go in the city centre. I really enjoyed my time at Avalon House.
