This place was close to town but besides that we were not real impressed. We found a guy sorting through the bin for cans on arrival andlater found someone asleep in the corridor, which will happne when reception is around the corner at the hostel. For not a lot more a couple/group could do much better in Poland.

With the exception of one receptionist the welcome was desultory. The rubbish was not disposed of every day - the longest delay was 4 days - which considering they did not want you to flush toilet paper was disgusting! If there was a communal area (apart from the computer room) to chat to other guests, I never found it.

I stayed in Trzy Kafki BIS (on Ulica Krowoderska), and found it satisfactory -- enough so that I stayed for an extra night (four in total). It is one of the few hostels to have single rooms (mine actually had two single beds, but I was charged for a single room nevertheless). It is excellent value for the money, although it is clearly not a luxurious hotel. I felt that the room was generally clean (although I did purchase an air freshener) and safe, if a bit shabby (there was a small hole in the wall, for example, and the mattress was thin enough that I could clearly feel the slats on which it rested. I found the free internet access on Ul. Slowackiego (which serves as the front desk) to be an added bonus, and I found the staff to be simply excellent. To sum up, it's not a four star hotel, but it's very good value for the money, particularly if you're travelling alone.

As a group of 4 girls we felt very safe here. The beds were comfy and the apartments were very quiet. we'd definitely reccommend it.
