We found out when we arrived, that the hostel we had booked was not even build yet! Thankfully the staff of another hostel owned by the same man as the nonexistant hostel, helped us to settle into a real hostel.

Got a room at the Einholt guesthouse (appartment house) which is newly built. very clean, free Internet, well equipped kitchen. About 1.5km walk from tourist info at Laekjargata. Friendly staff! No group rooms.

Hi i didnt stay at hostel central,,,stayed at einholt,,for the same money,,dont know what einholt would normaly cost but for the 3200kr it cost me it was the best value i hav had in iceland in 10years,,,and would stay there again..
