Blois is a great place to be. Val de Loire is very convenient to the bus. If no bus is available, hostel is a 25 minute walk from train station.Hostel is far from center of town attractions. Eating may be a challenge if you don\'t take advantage of their restaurant. The room was gorgeous, clean and sunny. The location and atmosphere was homey, not like a traditional loud hostel. I\'d recommend it for families checking out the chateaus and people who need a few days away from loud city life.

The saving grace of this hostel was its proximity to a discount grocery store - the bus to the hostel doesn\'t run on Sundays, so a half-hour walk to the train station, with the downtown beyond that. I felt like the only backpacker there: the only people I ran into in the halls were part of large sports groups who were housed in a completely different wing of the building. The computers were too worn down with spyware and viruses to work.

Good for the price! Quiet, cheap breakfast (2.50 euros), clean room. Thankfully had a car, otherwise it could be quite a walk to the city center. There is a bus stop nearby, but didn't try it.

This is like a university residence hall. The staff was very nice, but the location was quite hard to find because they don't go by Ethic Etapes.

Kind of in a bad part of town, but at least it's cheap! I'd suggest staying in a hotel in Blois, can get them for around 20 a night for 2 people.
