I am a single female traveler so Home Away From Home grabbed my attention. I stayed there in mid-Nov 2008. The staff and the owner were very nice and friendly. The room was nice and clean. However, like all hotels I stayed with in India, there were some gray stains on the sheets and towels. Also, the hot water was not very consistent. We were due for our annual fumigation, which we have since got done and redressed the issue with the cockroaches. All our food is prepared fresh and we have not had a single complaint of "Delhi belly" at our premises for the last 2 years. Please be assured that we are continuously working towards the satisfaction of customers and also looking forward to seeing you again.

It's a bit hidden away, but if you follow the instructions and pay good attentionfrom your taxiwindow, it won't be too hard. the owner is really friendly,and can help you plan your delhi trip.

The place is close to airport (15 to 20 min) but far from the sightseeing. Price a bit expensive (double) if you compare to other places in India. The owner was the best, he is very helpful and friendly!

Thank you for your comments. What you say might be correct in comparison to places outside Delhi, but to do that is being unfair to us, because we have higher costs as well.
We are adjacent to the Mehrauli historical complex, of which the Qutab Minar is the main attraction, one of the most historically important attractions of Delhi. Likewise, no place can be close to all the sightseeing, except maybe a caravan, because Delhi is a big city and attractions are spread out all over the place.

Home Away From Home was delightful. The staff and the owner were hospitable and helpful. They made our stay in Delhi enjoyable and rich. The outer facade of the hostel was a little inconspicuous, and our taxi driver had a hard time finding it initially, but after that it was great. Tours of Delhi, trips to Agra can be arranged through the owner who really took care of us while we were there.

Cheap place for an overnight stay. It's close to the airport but not to center New Delhi. Clean and safe with very helpful staff.
