Hard to find if you are unco, and a bit out of the way for a walk, lots and lots of hills, can't wait to go back! set away from the tourists (who are hidden just around the corner) fantastic staff, not very secure in terms of having to pay for a room key, but people are fantastic and very cool. Highly recommended

The staff at the hostel were extremely friendly and helpful. While the hostel was small, it had unique character and a great view of the city and water. Free internet and breakfast were also a plus. Would definately stay and again and highly recommend!

We wanted to come back here as it was the nicest hostel we stayed at in Portugal. Very much recommended.

A beautiful place in the heart of Alfama. A bit far from Baixa, but quickly reached by tram 28 (otherwise a steep uphill walk). Atmosphere, patio and the roof terrace were excellent as were the staff. Probably the nicest place if you want to escape the most touristy areas. Clean and everything worked well. Security lockers were better than in most places. Can be noisy during festas in the Alfama (like Santo António). Definately recommended!

Very clean, near a tram line (it only runs until 11, but a taxt isn't expensive from the Cais do Sodre'); I was only there one night, but I was satisfied by the service.
