The Location was good situated right next the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. The staff was very friendly and the Cleanliness ok. But I have to say, that it was very loud all over the nigt. Inside and outside!

No está muy bien eso de que te toque el callejon con los borrachos enfrente y quizas el excesivo ruido tanto por las noches (juergas) como por las mañanas (palomas) pero está bien y es barato

I would liek to see about a refund as I was extremely unhappy with my service. The tv in our room was broken - and not even a remote, we were at a safety risk as we only got about 54 hours sleep and had to drive back to London. The amount of noise from outside - bottles being broken, drunken people shouting and the smell of people urinating outside our window was too much, I wasnt even warned that there would be noise when I know the staff are aware about it. I wil NEVER be staying there again and will NEVER be referring you either. I was also very unimpressed with the toilet and bathroom facilities.
I would just add that the more recent female shower (not in the main building) has no pression at all and that it was very difficult to clean long hear like this.

Unless you book every bed in your room, the door is left unlocked and only the front desk has the key. The location is pretty awesome, but in my opinion location is the only thing this hostel has going for it. The rooms were dirty, the bathroom was dirty, residents and people outside the hostel can be heard yelling at all hours of the day, or more importantly, the night. The staff were not overly friendly or helpful. When you stay you can get either a 10% or 15% discount at a cafe next door, but their prices are high despite the discount. Would not stay here again.
