The nightly Bonfires are a great way to socialise and warm up on the cold cold nights. Plenty of blankets are provided for such evenings but a sleeping bag is definately worth havin. Great hot showers. Really fun and social hostel.

We visited San Cristobal in july 2008 and were in general satisfied with this hostel although at night it was sometimes noisy (music and chatter from the central patio of the hostel & a early cock of the neighbours). Lindita & Dieter (from Belgium) x.

Everything is easy walking distance at lovely San Cristobal de las Casas, the hostel is located about 10 min walking distance to the bus station and just 3 blocks from the artisan market. Hostel staff is nice & very helpful. Reception/breakfast area are all in an open area, a bit cold when it rains or early in the morning/late night. Rooms are located sourrounding this open area and therefore are a bit cold. Rooms are rather noisy but great to socialize & meet with people! Big lockers to l
