I was very happy with the City Hostel. I was in Geneva for the meeting of the International Board of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF.) Several of our members were staying in the hostel. Being able to cook some of our meals was a great help in saving money. There was one incident of theft from one of our members, which was discouraging - perhaps there should be a more strict watch on WHO comes in. We noted that we mostly just pressed the bell to get in at night,

The rooms where on the small side but otherwise great location, & for the price in Geneva you can't really complain.

The hostel is not far from the train station at all. It's a short walk. Security is great the doors lock at a certain hour. The hostel was so clean! The bathrooms were the cleanest that i have seen. Breakfast is not included however they sell snacks and drinks. You also get a free bus pass for the day.
