The bed was hard and small, the showers were clean but in poor repair, and the staff was competent, at best. Better than paying $300 a night for a hotel room, but not much.

We've read other reviews that complained about lack of cleanliness of bathrooms. Our observation was that this was the fault of the clientele rather than of the staff. The situation could be helped by more frequent cleaning by the staff, however.

Great location, nice staff, ok room, terrible (shared) bathroom.
The Y was a perfect place to sleep while exploring the big city. It was clean, surprisingly quiet and extremely affordable! They also let you use all the YMCA amenities while staying there, like the gym and the pool. I would definitely stay again!
