Great hostel, perfect location, and decent price...what more could you ask for. Grindelwald is an expensive place, but the Downtown-Lodge was a great deal and within walking distance of the station and anything you could want to do. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The hostel wasn't very social or exciting, but after a long day of hiking it is nice to take a break. Would stay here again without hesitation.

This is the nicest hostel I have stayed in ever and I have stayed in a fair share of them. The rooms were spacious and the common room had great amenities. Kitchen, two computers with free internet, and a giant screen projector where we watched a semifinal football match were only a few of the delights you'll find there. Highly recommend it. Plus the staff was excellent.
