Eight Elephants Hostel in Taipei, Taiwan

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel, except for the rude and unprofessional Western male who worked overnight. He got angry with me when I asked if I could check out at 11am to catch my flight and he said check out was strictly from noon to 2pm. I didn't think that checking out at 11am was an unreasonable request, but it was to him and he let me know it. The Taiwanese girls who worked there were very friendly and helpful, so it's a shame this rude employee is hurting the hostel's reputation.

Dear Kate & Andrew, We're really sorry about the misunderstanding. Actually he meant it's ok to check out with him at that time. Maybe he didn't express himself well. But still thank you for your suggestion and advise so we can know what can we improve and makes our service better. Hope to see you in the future! I had a great time here. It is small, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people and everyone I met was super chill and nice. The location is right next to Shida, so if you are going to school out here, it is an ideal location. I had a great time there. Highly recommended. :-) Eileen, from USA ~ 2nd Sep 2009
