The staff at the hostel were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.I stayed in a private room with a bunk bed, and it was fairly clean.The shared bathroom on the floor, however, was a little gross and I tried to use it as little as possible.The location isn't great.Although you are very close to Museumplein, you are pretty far from the center of the city, and if you are not familiar with public transportation in Amsterdam, it's a little difficult getting into the city. Minimalistic place. One toilet and shower per floor. The common room fits 12 people and has no lounging space. The free breakfast is stale bread with Peanut butter, jam, chocolate spread, butter, tea and coffee. Decent price but they demand cash only up front. More outlets or a power-strip in the room would be very helpful (and easy to get), as one outlet is not enough for a dorm room.The toilet room was a little scary and poorly stocked.Longer hours on the kitchen would be nice. Jonathan, from USA ~ 20th Sep 2012

Very nice staff who could help you in every situation. It is a great location especially when you don't want to spend your days calmly. Next to the museumsplein you are very central but it is neither noisy nor busy. No loud bars or coffeeshops next to the hostel, nice people. Quite clean rooms (but you should not stay in the first floor with an allergy for cats), bathrooms and toilets were cleaned every day.
