really bad experience. we have book for 2 night but we spent the second night at hostelling international Honolulu. bathrooms are unclean, really old furniture Emilie, from Canada ~ 23rd Jan 2013

The terrible mould in the bathroom and cramped and stuffy cabin weren't helped by the non-existant air flow (no fans and no airflow at all) and the fact that I could barely get into my top bunk because it was 40cm from the slanting ceiling. The bunk was rickety and noisy but I guess the mattress was comfortable enough, once I got onto it. There is nowhere to store your bags & the door barely gets locked so anyone off the street could just walk in. It's not even that cheap. I'm never returning. Sophie, from Australia ~ 23rd Oct 2012

backpackers is great, really nice people and a great location to just relax and lay back. I came from Waikiki for one night and stayed for 4. the hostel accommodation is basic, bunk beds shared bathroom and kitchen in a cabin (I was in plantation village) but the atmosphere and friendly travellers make it AWESOME. Somebody commented that it's a bit like being at camp, you stay in a cabin, all have rented bikes and play with your friends all day. GREAT! Gabrielle, from Ireland ~ 30th May 2011
