Backpackers-Duesseldorf in , Tyskland

After 10 pm central door opens with a 4 digit pin. In my night pin didn't work. Spent 1 hour outside till someone heard us and opened us from the inside. Did the same three times during the night for people who could not get in. Poor mattresses. IOANNIS, from Greece ~ 3rd Apr 2013

Great value and the most friendly hostel atmosphere I have ever experienced! The staff was really chilled out, the kitchen was easily accessible, and the beds were good, especially the second floor which had I believe better dorms (6 bed dorm rather than 10 bed dorm on the 1st floor).The place is relaxed and was by far the best value for money in Dusseldorf and Cologne.We based all our sightseeing in both cities (plus Krefield) from here and it was PERFECT. One particularly rude man at the reception, although one friendly woman. Beautiful hostel. The signs all around the place exclaiming the fact that you must make your bed, wash your dishes are fair enough, although everyone already knows this about hostels and it is unnecessary and somewhat uncomfortable.
