The manager Tim was amazingly helpful during check-in and check-out, even helped me out while I was without a phone. Very friendly staff and clean facilities. Would definitely stay there again. Danielle, from USA ~ 30th Apr 2013

I really enjoyed staying at Bamber House, it was my first hostel when arriving in New Zealand and it was absolutely perfect. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they even call for me other hostels to find me a room a few days later when Bamber was fully-booked. The rooms are clean, so are the bathrooms, and you have your own lockers to keep your personnal stuff safe. Can't find a reason to complain: Bamber House is the place to stay if you want to have a good time in Auckland. Mathieu, from France ~ 12th Apr 2013

Typical backpacker’s hostel, but we stayed in a private room that was clean and comfortable. The bus line into downtown Auckland is cheap and very close making it worth being in a quieter place just outside the city to get a good night’s sleep. Only downside was that they gave us 200mb of free wifi but we couldn't get a strong enough signal to actually use it. Kathryn, from USA ~ 4th Apr 2013

This is my fourth stay in 4 consecutive years at Bamber. I can't say enough good stuff about it. Always, the various staff are friendly, helpful, efficient (handpicked?).
