Barbieri International Hostel in , Spanien

We stayed three nights at this hostel, and were very pleased with our stay. There is a five min. walk to Gran Via, and we walked to all the must-see locations. The metro is only two minutes away, so it is easy to carry your luggage this way. We had a twin bed room good beds, small room, but it's all you need. Always clean bathrooms and kitchen. THe kitchen could be a bit more well-equipped, but has all the basics. THe staff was very helpful and friendly, and their english was good. Ann-Celin, from Norway ~ 23rd Apr 2013

Great hostel and great value for the money! Fabio (that works on the frontdesk during the day) is great! The down side is that the women`s bathroom can be a little exposed, if your colegue lleaves the door open (what happens somentimes). But the hostel is close to everything by a walking distance, the staff is great and gives you tos of good tips. Surelly I`ll be back and recommed it to all of you. I really enjoyed my stay here.When we first got there, they had let some people stay in our beds in the dorm, so they gave us a private room for the night, which was very nice, then we moved to the dorm the next day.The staff was helpful and friendly and made sure that we knew where we were going / how to get there.The location was really great, within walking distance of the city center.A very good experience. We were actually moved to the other Barbieri Hostel because something had happened with our rooms before we got there. It actually ended up being great! As a hostel, this is very small and lacks the party atmosphere that is very conducive to meeting people and making friends. In this regard, its common room falls short. The staff, however, is extremely kind and ready to speak English if you need them to. They gave us great recommendations. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are clean although the stalls are awkwardly small. The location is quite good, lots of bars and whatnot around, close to the city center as well.
