Very good location. The hostel itself is small and just has 2 bathromms in every stairs whitch are always full.

The pictures do not depict what the place would actually look like. The rooms were cramped, and the so were the restrooms. Not to mention the bad maintainance of the common room and the staircases, which had uneven steps, which could cause someone to get seriously hurt. The worst were the restrooms, which were not only small, but dirty and dank, too. And there were no hooks to hang my clothings.
Although I expected some unfriendliness from New Yorkers, some of the staff did not do much to cur

You can't beat it for the price. I felt safe, the staff was nice. It was a little dilapidated, but nothing big. It was what we needed where we needed it and we had no problems. I wouldn't suggest it if your looking for something posh, just something that will serve your needs.

locks on both the bedroom and some bathroom doors didn't work. the bedroom door didnt shut properly so there was little security.

The first morning there some guests, who had just arrived, woke me and up and argued with me for about 10 minutes about me "sleeping" in their bed, when the reality of the situation was that the staff had either given them the wrong room or they misunderstood what the staff had said. Also, expect a significant increase in the price after taxes (once you arrive). But overall, it was a good experience. Thanks for everything!

This place was terrible! if you dont catch something nasty in the shower (if you can actually get in the shower, which is shared between at least thirty people and is tiny) then you will catch something nasty from your rooms which are never cleaned.
On the pluse side it is close to central park ind cheap.
pay a few more dollars and stay somewhere better.
