It was brilliant. and staffs were kind and has good atmosphere. Room was quite nice and it was clean. the location was little for from main street but it is near to other attractions. YEONGIN, from South Korea ~ 6th May 2013

I had a great stay for a quick 2 night visit to Dublin.The receptionist when I first checked in wasn't the most friendliest but the rest of the staff and atmosphere made up for it :)The accommodations , and facilities were tops, and I look forward to make another visit to a Generator! Generator Hostel is literally the best place to stay. A little slice of heaven. A pub, live music, friendly people. AND IT'S INEXPENSIVE! couldn't have asked for a better place to be. Alyssa, from USA ~ 18th Mar 2013

you can see that the owner really thought about what travellers need. facilities are great. however, the hostel is more like a hotel. very big and anonymous. you really don't get in touch with other travellers, so the charm of "normal" hostels is missing. it reminded us in some ways of a maximum security prison. even the elevator can only be used with your chipcard. The staff was not so friendly and relaxed. Complete opposite of all the other people and hostel staff we met during our trip in Mareike, from Germany ~ 29th Nov 2012

A little bit off the beaten tourist path, but generally walkable distance to anywhere in town. Some 20 mins on foot to O Connell street, about 7 mins to the oldestpub in Ireland - the Brazen Head. 10-15 mins to Christchurch cathedral and st Patrick's church. But overall a good location to stay at. Calm and clean. Some buzz downstairs at the bar for the ones who like it. I would recommend it to a friend. Monika, from Lithuania ~ 28th Aug 2012

We really loved this hostel. The mattress was the best one I've slept on so far through Europe.The room was very clean and all the staff were very nice and helpful.My only wish was that they had a general kitchen to use. Christine, from USA ~ 14th Aug 2012
