the lock of my locker was broken and they never changed it. I stayed in a six bedroom shared room and the lock of my locker was broken and was never fixed. They charged me a full night when asked to leave at 6.00pm. They were offering free transportation to some of the sights but they required minimum of 4 people, but they never wrote anybody's names down. So you have to show up at 10.00 am for the ride, if there are three other people who decided to take the chance to have three other guest goi

Very good place to stay. The only big problem is the doors of the room, with some cracks and not very strong. Overall, a very good place, with good indications and good prices to go on Li river or rice fields in Longshehng.

We spent one night there just as a pivot to yangshuo, the hostel was clean enough, but we had not enough time to evaluate the entertainement, the booking service was good and the crew were kind.

My brother and I want you to know that the girl who is short with glasses and not a manager was EXTREMELY helpful and went out of her way to help us so much and we would love for her to get the recognition that she deserves. Unfortunately we forgot her name but it had one syllable. Thanks again!

I opted to stay in a 6-bed dorm but found the room smelling musty and the shower grungy,so I took a private ensuite,it was OK.the staff at the desk were very helpful and arrandments for tours were excellent. On request they even arranged for my visit to a local Silk factory.Faz 4rm Chennai

A great place to stay of visitng areas in Guilin right by the Sheraton so easy for taxi drivers to find, very basic rooms compared to other hostels in China. But a good rate for what you got. It was the quiet season so hostel wasn't busy compared to others I had stayed in.

We stayed in this hostel for a few nights recently (Feb 2008) and this hostel was decent but not exceptional. Our room, 3 person private was clean and comfortable, with a good view. The hostel staff doesn't go out of their way to help aquaint you with the city/organize things but keep reading becuase this is important. We had a lovely time here thanks to a man named " KEVIN" who works two doors down to the left from the hostel at the 2nd tea shop/speaks fluent english> He told us "don't book the

Staff did their best when there was a power-cut. It was nice to have a charcoal heater in the sitting area. It would be good to limit smoking to one section of the sitting area.

I thorouhgly enjoyed the stay... they need to teach YangShuo a few things. The map on their brochure is a good idea. It would be nice if they offered a tour or two... I don't want them to be pushy or try to sell us all these deals. Merely, it would be nice if they had an option where if 6 people wanted to do, say, a river tour, they would lead one for a price Chinese people normally pay.
