I will be honest and say that at first, i was a little let down as there was no locks on the door, nor any lockers . . . BUT my opinion quicky changed. The people were great. The main employee during my stay couldn't have been any kinder. I wouldn't change anything about this hostel. . . . except for maybe the bathroom, but so it goes. Everything is great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone travels to Izmir. $28/day is not a price for people on budget like me, but after stayed here for 3 nights, I think that it's worthy to pay this price. There is an American-Turkish boy works at the reception. He is super helpful. Never hesitate to ask if you have any questions about the tour in Izmir and surrounding area. The hotel is right next to a sleezy bar so its a bit uncomfortable for us girls to walk back at night time. Despite that, room is clean though they should definitely do something with the cheap metal frame beds. Nam, from Singapore ~ 8th Oct 2012

If you are looking for a cheap hotel in a good location (around the corner from the main train station) with nice, English speaking staff, stay here. the room was tiny and the bathroom smelled pretty bad, but it was the cheapest hotel in izmir so we weren't expecting luxury. the included breakfast was surprisingly good. would definitelyrecommend it for a short stay. We had never been to Turkey before, so when we encountered the hotel staff expecting us on the street, and speaking English, we felt very much welcome. Our hosts were polite and had plenty of information for our stay, including tours, and maps. The room was a good size, we had two beds and a couch was included. Bathroom was clean, shower a bit small and lukewarm but worked fine.
