Hostel Alessandro Palace & Bar in , Italien

The location was great. The breakfast was less than appetizing (but I could just be spoiled coming from the states). I personally was not crazy about the staff. I felt that they were pushy (always trying to get me to buy one of their tours, or pay to be a part of their weekly bar crawl), and talked down to their customers. It's a nice place, location is good enough for that money I guess, staff is helpful and friendly, rooms are pretty clean and have lockers, though you should buy a padlock for 5 euros or bring your own, but the size may not fit. Breakfast is for extra 3 euros, but I'd recommend some nice cafes in the area, it's really better in my opinion (if you have your coffee and croissant at the bar in cafe it will be cheaper than at the table by the way). One of the best hostels I had stayed at in all of Europe. Amazing bar and open air club crawl by the Tiber river. Very easy to meet new people and right in the middle of Rome. Friendly and helpful staff, fun and lively place. Convenient to station and metro. Clean, with en suite rooms. Good wifi. Breakfast not included in price, which wasn't obvious at first. Best hostel I've ever stayed at. Its a bummer breakfast isn't included but that is the only downside. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They have tours you can sign-up for and because it is so close to Termini its easy to get anywhere in the city if you'd rather sight-see by yourself. Amanda, from USA ~ 25th Jul 2012
