I was staying in this hostel for a night and my impressions wasn't so good. The worst thing was that the toilet in the room was disgusting. It was ditry, without toilet lid, which was very sad for me and the other girls. Also, the blankets were without sheets. It is bearable to spend a night in that place, but not more. The worst hostel ever!!! Without giving a rational reason (I guess there was an overbooking which seemed a common case for the place), it relocated us to another hostel "Hostel Diablo" which had footprint on the bed sheet. Thanks to the hostel, I'm suffering from bed bug infection for two weeks and still not treated. Never go to 'Hostel California' or 'Hostel Diablo'. SO JEONG, from South Korea ~ 10th Apr 2013

Had to sleep in a double bed in the dorm with my travel companion - didn't expect that.The room was cold and there was no way to make it warmer, so that wasn't good.The bathrooms were also cold.Also they smoked in the kitchen / common area.Didn't expect that and was a little disappointing for me.The kitchen was pretty good, so all in all it was a good place to stay - especially for the price.There is a grocery store not too far away, so that was also convenient. If you want to take one Bed of 14-Dormroom, you actually need to pay 10.06 Euro per night, including city tax. The description of website doesn't mention city tax, and that's responsibility that they need to declare. The staff only said "Everybody knows it", so they don't need to note it. Also, they don't change the linen everyday, but they charged the money of linen everyday. The hostel was cleanish and I slept well, probably because I was exhausted. A problem we had was that although we set up our check-in time at 7 AM, we had to wait till 11 AM to get a bed.We were extremely tired and were forced to wait in a cold, loud common room. Gabrielle, from USA ~ 1st Jan 2013
