I stayed for 2 nights in Hostel Essaouira and really enjoyed myself... Positive points: Staff are SUPERB, location is central, great value, nice atmosphere, hot showers, roof area was nice... Negatives points: Rooms have strange smell, commual area is a bit dingy, generally place is not clean and REALLY needs a complete tidy/redecoration throughout... As soon as I walked through the door, I knew it was exactly what I needed.Staff were instantly lovely&insured that you were comfortable in the room you had been given,and were so helpful and informative on the surroundings(where to go&what to see).The hostel itself is perfect!Great terrace,awesome hammocks,clean rooms and excellent location.The people that this hostel attracts are generally open-minded, positive, interesting and friendly travellers.I booked 2nights&stayed for 1week...nuff said!x Danielle, from England ~ 28th May 2012

I would not recomend this hostel. Staff and location were ok, but the bathrooms and the beds were dirty. There were dogs and cats walking in and out of the place and drinking from the toilets and there was a strange smell in the rooms.
