The best hostel I've stayed in. The location is great, you can walk to la Rambla and the port and ocean are close. Hostel is in a quiet street so sleeping isn't a problem. The staff is the key to the success though, they are extremely helpful and friendly and make sure you enjoy your trip in Barcelona. You must stay here! The staff is incredible, the location is fun, but quiet at night, while still being easily close enough to the partying. It is very clean and very modern (they even just put in new showers!). But the most important part is the atmosphere! EVERY night there are free dinners, that help to bring the people staying in the hostel together. It is just about impossible to not make friends, and if you can't meet any of the other people staying there, the staff will ALWAYS be friends! Peter, from USA ~ 4th Sep 2012

The staff Angel, Joao and Valerio were incredibly helpful, friendly and fun throughout my stay at Hostel One Paralelo. They were intensely committed to me having a good time. Free dinners every day were the perfect opportunity to meet other travellers and make plans for going out. The rooms are orderly and clean, and the place is very secure (your own good-sized locker in your room, entry code for front door, cameras in all common areas). The staff is very friendly, but they screwed me over and accommodated a bigger group. They made me move to another room during the middle of my stay because another group came in. I was told they would help me move my stuff to the new room on that day. Instead, I find my stuff thrown on the floor. Overall it was pretty good minus that part. I stayed at H.O. Paralelo for a week and had a great time.. Hostel is located near city center (15 min walk), and in very safe neighborhood. Rooms are very clean and cosy. Staff members are awesome, never met guys that are that proactive and helpful (V&J). They made free diners every night and helped with planing our day activities. Although this is not party hostel, we partied every night cos Hostel organized pub crawls...and during diner you could meet other travelers. FIVE STARS! Ivan, from Croatia ~ 31st May 2012
