It´s a hostel for hippi- people and youth who want to reknow their anal face - living in shit and enjoy- or fly away being high.

Very unclean, probably the dirtiest hostel I have stayed at. Showers and beds were filthy and rarely cleaned, bugs galore, got bitten during the night! Decent location, just a short trolley ride from Bourbon Street. Good atmosphere at night around the hostel, but dreaded taking a shower or going to bed!

Hey :-)
absolutely loved my stay in India House. Hopefully I'll be able to go back to NO one day, and I will definately stay in India House again.
Thanks for a great week

Thank God my girlfriend picked the place. If it had been my decision to stay at the India House, she would have had us pack right back up and find another place. My arm-span was just barely shorter than the width and length of the private, 2-person "Mombazza Suite". It was *very* dirty. I was hoping to use an iron to straighten up my clothes when we arrived, but I was SOL. Towels cost $5 each. Plastic wrap on the beds makes you feel like you're sleeping on a giant diaper. Straight-up asinine. Wa

I was in NO for a work confernece, and decided to stay for halloween and the weekend, India House is cool hostel to stay at, location is a bit off of the quarter, it takes about a 15 min street car ride to the downtown, and the train comes by every 30 min, so it could be kinda inconvienet at times.

Had a really great time here. Beds are ok. The sleeping experience was maybe the weakest link, but too much fun to care that much.
