This is a nice place. A big house in a wealthy neighborhood. The owners really care about providing a nice experience (it seems, I did not interact with them that much myself) and are into the international thing they host exchange students and stuff. everett, from USA ~ 5th Apr 2013

Lovely stay, Jairo and Cachi were lovely and helpfull. It's located far from the downtown but that was a great thing for us, and It's a short distance from Casco Viejo and the Causeway (must See places!) Also the neighborhood is calm and beautiful. Vanesa, from Argentina ~ 4th Jan 2013

I have never felt more at home traveling than I have staying at Jamraka and I have traveled in buisness for 40 years. The guest and host all are above exceptionial. How lucky I am to have chosen this stay. Richard, from USA ~ 25th Dec 2012

We were taken good care off by Victoria while Oswaldo was on a trip himself. He even called to check if everything was okay and if we needed anything. I did not expect any of that,... so I though that it was super cool. Location is excellent. Good eating, 24hr supermarket within 5 min walk. Mall within 10 min walk. We really enjoyed our stay in Jamraka hostel! It is a quiet place outside the busy areas of Panama city. Supermarket is around the corner. The lady and her son are extremely helpful and showed great hospitality. Ciro (the son) speaks English which was for us an big advantage. Rooms are fresh, they were all being renovated at the time we were staying (colorful paint and new curtains). Showers are most of the time cold but for the Panamanian climate this is not a problem! We stayed at Jamraka Homestay as a place to rest during a 16-hour layover. It was perfect! We took a cab from the airport straight to Jamraka's quiet & safe Balboa neighborhood ($30), cleaned up, then visited the Casco Viejo (a short taxi away). Ciro and his mother were very accommodating and sweet the rooms all have fans, the bathrooms clean and with hot water, and they provided toast and coffee before we got up at 5:30am, hiked Ancon Hill, and headed back to the airport. Great value & people! Carmen, from USA ~ 20th Aug 2012
