Way too hot in room, no air conditioning, which I know is standard for most places in Hawaii but they could have at least provided a fan, paper thin mattresses, only one toilet and shower shared between 10 people or more. Just not a great place to stay. I would highly recommend Pineapple Park about 30 minutes down the road. Griffin, from USA ~ 27th May 2013

This hostel was OK.Positives were clean sheets and towel, nice shower and good location but drawbacks were the poor mattress on the bunk beds and people who stayed there long-term (more than 2 weeks).There was someone who slept on the couch in the common room and someone else was also there for a couple weeks looking for a job.It felt more like a halfway house than a hostel but I had a bed and a somewhat clean kitchen so that made this place average in my eyes. Staff not helpful or very friendly. No security at all....doors always unlocked. Were people sleeping on the couches both nights we were there. Limited bathroom facilities for the number of guests. Probably the worst beds i have ever slept in and i often go camping. The mattresses were thin and the random sized bits of plywood and cardboard underneath were appalling. Dogs have comfier beds.
