Mingtown Nanjing Road Youth Hostel in , Kina

The hostel is good and the breakfast too (maybe it's not convenient to eat 2 eggs every morning for 10 days). They should clean at least the bathroom once if you stay in the room for more than 5 days. Better to have a room on the top floors...maybe you can meet a nice mouse on the ground floor when you are taking the elevator. but don't worry...they have a cat! I was so impressed with this hostel. My friend and I stayed in the twin bed ensuite room on the 2nd floor and it was pretty much like a hotel, except without a TV! The only downside was the fact that the WiFi only worked in the common rooms so we had to leave the comfort of our room everytime we wanted to use the WiFi. This is my second stay there and for the price what better can it be.TV ? There was a non working TV installed but watching some of the on going programmes aired in the common roomit is nothing compared to what we get in Malaysia (sorry) Anyway we are not there to watch TV.Nanjing road is one big entertainment - really. Unfortunately, we got to stay in this hostel only for one night, but we would definitely recommend it to travellers. It is right by Nanjing Street and not far away from the ancient park. The Bund and financial center are within the walk distance. They have a good bar outdoors and indoors as well. Alena, from Russia ~ 3rd Nov 2012
