My only complaint of the Oak Hotel is the bed. It was the most uncomfortable slab of springs I have ever laid down on. Otherwise, the hotel was GREAT. Staff was top notch!

Very clean room with comfortable beds. Staff bent over backwards to help, even though I observed that many customers were extremely rude and demanding. Japanese people are the most polite and frendy people I have had the pleasure to meet. The location of the hostell is exxellent in relation to both Ueno, with its flee market, park, railway station and museums, and Asakusa, with its old Tokyo atmosphere and interesting shops.

Very easy to find with the directions given. The bed was pretty springy and uncomfortable. The bathroom could certainly have been a lot bigger; just be weary of banging your head against something. Overall, it was a pretty decent location, though if you are looking to party it up--better stay out until the subway starts up again because it's a 5000yen ride back from shibuya/shinjuku/etc.

Very nice place. Hard to get reservations because they only have one 4 bed room as a "hostel". But if you can get it, it's the best hostel near ueno station.

I liked the cleanliness, size of room, and location of the hotel. What needs to improve is the time allotted on the internet. There should be a system where each person only gets an hour. I was hardly able to use the computer there and I was also a paying tenant

This was a great little place to stay at a good price- private bathroom with dressing gown and slippers, airconditioner, internet, washing machine and a radio and TV. I would stay here again if I was staying on this side of town
