Good location in Berlin (other than being amongst a construction site). Lots of school groups which doesn't really give the bar a great atmosphere/ opportunity to meet other travellers. Rooms were spacious, the lockers are only big enough for valuables and small suitcases. Bathroom facilities clean and nice. Don't bother about paying for the breakfast... This hostel was modern. In winter the heating is not adequate in the 8 bed dorm. There was large construction work happening there which was off-putting. There is all day coffee and tea available free and a microwave -no other cooking facilities. The hostel participates in 'rent an old man scheme'. There was one elderly man from Russia staying in the 8 bed dorm who looked as if he was going to be there a while. Very clean and quiet and safe place with a walking distance (5-10minutes) to Alexander Platz. Perfect value for money. Very nice and cheap breakfast. Snooker, Free Internet, even a fireplace :) I will definitively go once again. Thanks to the Hotel! Pavol, from Slovakia ~ 1st Dec 2012

This place was excellent, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, comfortable, and lively place to stay in Berlin. Right next to the metro that takes you anywhere in the city, and the staff were awesome! It was a little quiet, but may have been the time of year. Best hostel I have ever stayed in. The staff were great, I made an error with my reservation and it was resolved without hassle. Just one minute walk from the nearest metro station, access to the station, airport and downtown Berlin is very easy. Everything was clean, and a single key to access the dorms, the room and the locker was great. Best was a 24hr bar, which was a great place to meet those staying at Pfefferbett but also attracted people staying elsewhere because it was always lively. Galen, from England ~ 26th Oct 2012
