staff was lovely and kind. the hostel has a adequate kitchen and a supermarket nearby, a easy walking distance to the marayuma park and the zoo, and a easily walkable trip to the Mount Okura Ski Jump Stadium. bunk beds were nice and big. ryan, from New Zealand ~ 3rd May 2013

After my flight got in 3 hours late due to snowfall, I was afraid that my hostel booking had been given away for the night. Thankfully, the manager kept my booking and was incredibly helpful once I arrived. Additionally, the warm facilities and simple breakfast spread were welcome surprises for this travel-worn guest. The location is great. There are a few eateries, a grocery store, and a convenience store you'll pass on your way from the hostel to the station. Laurel, from USA ~ 7th Feb 2013

We really enjoyed staying with Maiko at the guest house. The other guests were really friendly and Maiko made the stay really nice. When my youngest sister was a bit timid about the curry toast, she was willing to make something different the next day. I think the only negative was that the smoking room was downstairs, it wasn't strong, but if you stayed up stairs you could smell it. Rebecca, from USA ~ 29th Jun 2012

I very much enjoyed my stay at Tsumuri-An. The owner is incredibly friendly and fun. She gives the place a very family-like atmosphere and does her best to answer any questions you have about the area or anything else. In addition, the place really is impeccably clean. And last but not least, the pizza toast in the morning is great! To summarize, I would dearly recommend anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Sapporo to check this place out!
